Engine Detailing

What is it?

Engine detailing is nothing more than cleaning the exterior of the engine and the engine compartment, and applying dressing to protect and beautify the engine. Detailing actions taken: Pretreating all these items with a degreaser/engine cleaner then agitating with a detail brush; Plastic hoses, electronic compartment boxes, rubber nobs, plastic seals, oil cap, windshield wipers fluid cap, metal firewall, all fluid boxes, water drain channels, and under the hood frame. Ill use my pressure washer to rinse out the detailing products. Then I'll dry out the whole engine compartment with compressed air thoroughly absorbing any moisture with the microfiber towel. Then I'll coat the engine bay with the hyper dressing to give those newly cleaned plastics a nice glossy shine.

Why do I need engine detailing?

It is recommended that you maintain your engine's appearance not because you look at your engine everyday. It's because you want to catch oil leaks, loose plastic piping or exposed wiring that leads to corrosion. Keeping your battery terminals clean or debris free, so you can a clear connection to jump someone else battery during the winter months. Most people only worry about their engine, when they have an oil leak and their mechanic recommends having their engine thoroughly cleaned to find the leak.

What is Steam Engine Detailing?

Steam cleaning your engine is great for hybrid vehicles or other electronic vehicles or show cars with lots of aluminum or chrome pieces. This is a great way to detail the engine without having to worry about using too much water that will cause shortages in the electrical system. Detail actions: Pretreating all these items with a degreaser/engine cleaner then agitating with a detail brush; Plastic hoses, electronic compartment boxes, rubber nobs, plastic seals, oil cap, windshield wipers fluid cap, metal firewall, all fluid boxes, water drain channels, and under the hood frame. Then I use the steamer that gets up to 298 degrees at 65 PSI, to break down oil, grease, dirt and other contaminates and leaves the engine clean and dry within seconds after detailing. After blowing drying with compressed air, I'll then spray your plastics and compartments with the hyper dressing for a nice clean shine.
